Greetings!

This month's newsletter is for all the men in our lives. They deserve their own newsletter so here it is!

Right now we are entering early spring (though I am sure we will get some blizzards between now and May, That, after all is spring in Colorado! The sun is shining, the buds on the trees are getting fuzzy and ready to burst, tulips are coming up in my south facing garden, so even though we get those grey days, the promise of spring, flowers, warmer weather and new beginnings is nigh! And just yesterday I was hiking over ice and all the needles on the pine trees and the grasses were covered in a layer of frost!

Enjoy the spring and please pass this newsletter to anyone that you may think would be interested in it!

Today, the leaves and flowers are used medicinally, and there is good evidence that hawthorn can treat mild-to-moderate heart failure. From the University of Maryland Medical Center
